Yep, it's Friday again and time for another tru-ish tale of Colfax and the Mile High City. A new 30 MILES OF CRAZY! (#36)! This week: Cheesman Park! ... or DINING WITH THE DEAD MEN!
Cheesman Park is another one of those odd ball (though quite lovely) places that you find around Denver. This was particularly easy for me, since it's only about two blocks from my place. You see, Cheesman is a remnant of Denver's pioneer cowboy past. Once on the far outskirts where few would venture, the 'city' grew up around it. It became infamous over a 100 years ago while being developed as a park because... well, it's a surprise, isn't it? Just read the comic.
So... a very apt Musical Accompaniment (as we often picnic during these summer Tango nights in the park, hence the comic)... and here we go!
(... and yes, the Changling Mansion was alongside Cheesman Park as well.)
SHARE AND ENJOY!
